Unlike
many private equity firms, TMW’s roots are in industrial entrepreneurship
rather than financial services. This has driven a focus on achieving
superior return on investment within our portfolio of companies by focusing
on optimizing processes and rewarding superior management performance.
Our investment and operational
expertise emanates from Electro-Wire Products (“Electro-Wire”).
From 1970 through 1995, the Wheeler family owned a vertically integrated
group of companies led by Electro-Wire, a full-service tier-one supplier
to the automotive market. At the time of its sale in 1995, Electro-Wire
operated 17 facilities in North America and had achieved annual revenues
in excess of $500 million. Following the sale, the Company changed its name to TMW and redeployed its capital and management team to create an organization that has made significant investments in plastic injection molding and electronic product manufacturing.
Today, our investment
portfolio includes:
- Private Equity:
plastic injection molding development, proprietary
electronic product development and software development
- Marketable Securities which
provide liquidity as investment opportunities develop
- Real
Estate: holdings which include industrial facilities, retail and
condominium properties, and land for future development
